The slower you go, the less fuel you use. The faster you go, the more inefficient a 2021 Toyota Yaris Cross GXL hybrid becomes. Seems odd, but it's true. As you're aware, internal combustion cars use more fuel in traffic. Stop-start engine technology helps somewhat, but the constant tasking of acceleration – from slow speeds – makes them uneconomical. The exact opposite happens with a Yaris Cross hybrid, which went a bit against my initial assumptions.

Electric car powered by poo unveiled by Queensland sewage treatment company

A Queensland sewage treatment company has unveiled its latest electric car powered by human waste. Four years after introducing an electric Mitsubishi hatchback powered by poo, the firm Urban Utilities has put its second electric car on the road and called it “Number Two”. The Hyundai Kona electric SUV even has the registration plates “NMBR2S” (number twos is rhyming slang for poo, in case you weren't aware).
