Design Review: Aston Martin Vanquish (2001)

Vanquish means “to defeat thoroughly”, but it's not only the meaning that defines the beauty of this Middle English word - it is also its aristocratic sound. We don’t usually start our design reviews with quotes from dictionaries, but in this case we need some cultural background knowledge in order to deal with this Aston Martin. And we are not talking about a random model but the one that set the foundations for the brand's modern design language.

Convertibles exist in a strange space in the motoring world. The people who buy them aren't necessarily enthusiasts, like sports car owners, but they care enough about their car to buy an inherently compromised vehicle. The entire Mini range exists in a similar sphere. Expensive, small and trendy, the Anglo-Deutsch brand is reliant on buyers making a decision with their hearts, not their heads. Electric car powered by poo unveiled by Queensland sewage treatment company

A Queensland sewage treatment company has unveiled its latest electric car powered by human waste. Four years after introducing an electric Mitsubishi hatchback powered by poo, the firm Urban Utilities has put its second electric car on the road and called it “Number Two”. The Hyundai Kona electric SUV even has the registration plates “NMBR2S” (number twos is rhyming slang for poo, in case you weren't aware).
